2-Methyl-2-propenoic acid pentafluorophenyl ester - stabilized with MEHQ is a polymeric matrix that is reactive. It is used in the manufacture of methacrylate polymers, which are hydroxylated and contain a chemical interaction with amines. This polymer can be used for eye disorders, such as dry eye syndrome, by providing lubrication. 2-Methyl-2-propenoic acid pentafluorophenyl ester - stabilized with MEHQ has been shown to exhibit water permeability and zirconium oxide adsorption capacity. It also exhibits FTIR spectroscopy at supercritical conditions and has a synthetic pathway involving the use of 2-methylpropene and phenol.
