Descrição:Magnesium hypophosphite hexahydrate is a compound of magnesium and phosphorous. It is a white solid that has been shown to be resistant to submerging in water. The reaction of magnesium with phosphorous yields the magnesium phosphite, which can be reacted with titanium oxide to form a white pigment. The reaction product is an aliphatic compound that can be used as an intermediate for the manufacture of molybdenum and other metal compounds. Magnesium hypophosphite hexahydrate also has applications in the production of salt compounds, such as isophorone.
