N-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-N-(p-chlorobenzoyl)hydrazine is a nonselective, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of inflammatory prostaglandins. It has been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cells in cell-based assays. This drug has a bioisosteric and bioisosteres relationship with piroxicam, which is also a nonselective, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. N-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-N-(p-chlorobenzoyl)hydrazine may be useful in the treatment of prostate cancer because it prevents the production of inflammatory prostaglandins.
