3-Methylcyclohexanone is a molecule with an intramolecular hydrogen bond. It is soluble in water, ethanol, ether, chloroform, and benzene but not in benzene sulfonic acid or nitrobenzene. 3-Methylcyclohexanone has been used as an intermediate for other chemical reactions such as the synthesis of dyes and pharmaceuticals.
