Descrição:(S)-(+)-a-Methoxyphenylacetic acid is a chiral primary amine. It is used in the preparation of monomers, and as a reagent for the synthesis of other compounds. The enantiomer of (S)-(+)-a-methoxyphenylacetic acid has been synthesized and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and conformational analysis. The molecule exists as a mixture of two conformers, one with the phenyl group on the left side and the other with it on the right side. The conformation that is observed depends on which enantiomer is used; there are no restrictions to rotation about any single bond in either conformer.
