• Descrição: 3-Methyl-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-a]phthalazine is a clinical pharmacology agent that can be used to study the effects of drugs on humans. This drug is metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 enzymes and glucuronide conjugates are produced. 3-Methyl-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-a]phthalazine has been shown to have dose-dependent effects on plasma concentrations in rats. It also has a terminal half life of around 5 hours in rat liver microsomes. The metabolites of this drug are formed through oxidation reactions and include 3-(methylcholanthrene) and 3-(methylnitrosourea). These metabolites can be detected by chromatography techniques.
