Descrição:
3-Methyl-1-phenyl-2-butanone is a peptidomimetic that has been used to generate novel drugs. It can be used as an organic solvent, or it can be reacted with amines and phenylacetone in the presence of acid to form a reaction solution. This reaction produces acidic metabolites, which are hydrolyzed by incubated acid. 3-Methyl-1-phenyl-2-butanone is also chiral and reacts with acids to produce different metabolic products. It can also react with isopropyl alcohol to form glaucum, which is not detectable.
