Informação sobre produto
- Benzeneacetic acid, 3-nitro-, methyl ester
- Methyl 3-nitrophenylacetate
Methyl 3-nitrophenylacetate is a cytotoxic agent that belongs to the class of nitroreductase inhibitors. It has been shown to be effective against anilines, which are found in a variety of drugs and pesticides that inhibit methylation enzymes such as nitroreductase. Methyl 3-nitrophenylacetate has been shown to condense with aromatic amines at high concentrations, causing fragmentation and reductive cleavage. The efficiency of this compound is pH dependent, with high efficiency at acidic pH ranges and low efficiency at basic pH ranges. Methyl 3-nitrophenylacetate has also been shown to inhibit effectors such as reactive oxygen species (ROS).
