Descrição:Methyl 3-methoxypropionate is an organic compound that has a polycarboxylic acid structure. It is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor and high water solubility. Methyl 3-methoxypropionate is used in the production of esters, such as methyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate, which are important monomers in the chemical industry. The reaction solution of this chemical contains an acid catalyst, such as hydrochloric acid or diphenyl ether. This chemical has been found to be carcinogenic when exposed to light or ionizing radiation. Methyl 3-methoxypropionate also reacts with cationic polymerization initiators, such as carbonyl compounds, nitrogen atoms, or fatty acids.
