Magnesium ascorbate is a food additive that has been approved for use in pharmaceutical preparations. It is used to prevent the oxidation of ethylene diamine (EDA) and pyridoxine hydrochloride (PYD), which are active ingredients in pharmaceutical preparations. Magnesium ascorbate has been shown to have antioxidant properties, which may reduce the risk of chronic disease and cancer. This compound is also known to be an inhibitor of dehydroascorbic acid reductase, which prevents the formation of carcinogenic compounds during lipid peroxidation reactions. The drug has been shown to be stable in vivo and in vitro, with no significant adverse effects on skin cells or skin tumor formation. Clinical studies have shown that magnesium ascorbate has anti-inflammatory properties and can help heal wounds faster.
