Descrição:2-N-Morpholinoethanesulfonic acid potassium salt (MES) is a detergent additive that is added to animal feed to improve the availability of fatty acids and other lipids. MES has been shown to increase the production of diacylglycerols and fatty acids in animals. Diagnostic assays have been developed using MES that detect the presence of transgenic animals, including those with cancerous cells, as well as those with developmental disorders. The carbonyl group on the MES molecule can be used for chemical synthesis or diagnostic purposes. It also encompasses a wide range of uses in industrial applications such as cleaning and degreasing agents.
