• Descrição: Methyl 4-methyl-3-oxopentanoate is a synthetic compound that inhibits the production of active oxygen and reactive oxygen species. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of tumor cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo, with an IC50 value of approximately 1.5 μM. The mechanism of methyl 4-methyl-3-oxopentanoate's anti-cancer activity may be through its ability to inhibit the activation of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) in human monocytes and macrophages, which leads to decreased inflammatory responses. Methyl 4-methyl-3-oxopentanoate has also been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species by inhibiting the activity of NADPH oxidase, thereby decreasing inflammation and oxidative stress. This compound is not known to have any adverse effects on humans or animals.
