6-Methoxyflavone is a flavonoid that has been shown to have synergistic effects with usnic acid, a sesquiterpene lactone. It was found to have anti-cancer properties in cell signaling pathways, such as mcf-7 and colorectal adenocarcinoma. 6-Methoxyflavone also has an inhibitory effect on skin cancer, breast cancer, and leukemia cells. The compound is toxicologically safe, but can cause kidney damage if taken in large doses. 6-Methoxyflavone also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
