The mPEG7-SH is also a good candidate for use in amperometric biosensors because it binds to monoclonal antibodies with high affinity. Aptasensors are sensors that can detect various environmental pollutants, including pesticides and herbicides. mPEG7-SH has shown pharmacological effects, such as reduction of glucose levels in diabetic mice.
