Informação sobre produto
1-Methyl-6,7-dimethoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline is an analogue of the natural amino acid L-lysine. It is synthesized by the catalytic hydrolysis of 6,7-dimethoxy-1-(methylthio)isoquinoline with aqueous hydrochloric acid. The reaction takes place in tetrahydrofuran and produces 1-(methylthio)-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline as a byproduct. This product was used to study the interaction between streptavidin and amino acids using HPLC analysis. Molecular modelling studies have been performed to understand the structural basis for this interaction. The calibration curve of 1-(methylthio)-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline was obtained by analyzing amines and SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS PAGE).
