Monolinuron is a sealant that is used in the agricultural industry to protect crops from harmful microorganisms. It has been shown to have a matrix effect on bacterial growth, inhibiting microbial metabolism and cell lysis. Monolinuron is an analytical method for determining the concentration of carboxy-terminal amino acids in solution and can be used as a nutrient solution. This compound reacts with trifluoroacetic acid and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to form DNA fragments that are detected by sequencing. It does not react with rat liver microsomes or human serum, making it suitable for use in these samples.END>
