3-Methylthio-1,2,4-triazine is a compound that can be synthesized by cross-coupling. This reaction is catalyzed by palladium. 3-Methylthio-1,2,4-triazine can also be made in the presence of sodium carbonate and analysed using NMR spectroscopy. It contains a phenyl ring and has been shown to have pde5 inhibitors. 3-Methylthio-1,2,4-triazine is converted to sulfate in acidic media with yields of about 80%. It has been shown to inhibit sildenafil anhydrous sodium amide formation and has a molecular structure of C6H6N3S.
