Informação sobre produto
- 4,5-Diphenyl-2-methyloxazole
- 2-Methyl-4,5-Diphenyl-1,3-Oxazole
2-Methyl-4,5-diphenyloxazole is a fluorescent compound that has a high quantum yield and a long wavelength. It is photoactive and can be used in the study of benzene, anthracene, carbazoles, heterocycles, imidazoles, and other related compounds. 2-Methyl-4,5-diphenyloxazole can be synthesized by reacting benzonitrile with formaldehyde in the presence of acid or base. 2-Methyl-4,5-diphenyloxazole reacts with atmospheric oxygen to produce benzoic acid and diphenylmethane. This reaction product can then be used as an intermediate for other syntheses.
