It can be obtained by reacting naphthol and benzyl chloride with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. Methyl 3-(trimethylsilyloxy)crotonate has reactive properties that allow it to undergo various reactions including aromatization, allylation, and transfer reactions. This compound is also known for its high molecular weight.
