It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice by inhibiting cytochrome P450 enzymes. In addition, 1-naphthyl acetate has been found to be effective at inhibiting protein kinase activity in human cells. As a result, it may have potential as a therapeutic agent for leukemia and Alzheimer's disease.
