• Descrição: 5-Nitrouracil is a piperazine derivative that inhibits the growth of cells by binding to detoxification enzymes and blocking their activity. It also inhibits the synthesis of proteins, which are necessary for cell division. 5-Nitrouracil has been shown to be effective against cancerous cells in culture, as well as inhibiting the growth of tumor cells in mice.
