Descrição:N,N-Diethylethylenediamine (DEEDA) is a nitrosamine with the chemical structure of N 2 H 4 C 2 H 4 NH 2 . It has been shown to have tumor-inhibiting properties. DEEDA has been shown to have a redox potential that is similar to that of glutathione and cysteine, which are important for the reduction of reactive oxygen species in cells. This compound also shows high uptake by primary cells and can be used as a model system to study the effects of nitrogen compounds on copper complexes. The biological properties of DEEDA are related to steric interactions with proteins and other biomolecules.
