Ac-L-Lys(Ac)-OH is a drug candidate that has been shown to interact with the catalytic site of the bromodomain and to have potential as a cancer therapeutic. Ac-L-Lys(Ac)-OH has been shown to bind to lysine residues in proteins, which are often found in transcription factors and other genes that regulate gene transcription.
