2-(1-Naphthyl)-5-phenyloxazole is a fluorescent dye that emits light at a wavelength of 510 nm. It has been used in the detection of various compounds, such as monocarboxylic acids and enzyme inhibitors. 2-(1-Naphthyl)-5-phenyloxazole has also been used for wastewater treatment and radiation detection.
