Descrição:Oxythiamine chloride hydrochloride is an inhibitor of thiamine-dependent enzymes. It is used in cell factor binding and as a biological control for studies involving the effects of thiamine-dependent reactions. The compound has been shown to inhibit enzyme activities in plants and animal tissues, including those that are involved in energy metabolism. Oxythiamine chloride hydrochloride also has inhibitory properties that may be due to its ability to bind to integrin receptors on the cell surface or to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis by binding to nuclear DNA.
