Descrição:1,2,4-Oxadiazol-3-amine is a synthetic compound that is structurally related to the benzamidine class of drugs. It has been shown to have potent inhibitory properties against urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA) and intramolecular hydrogen bonds. 1,2,4-Oxadiazol-3-amine inhibits the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin by binding to the reactive site on uPA. The inhibition of this enzyme prevents fibrinolysis and leads to an increase in blood pressure. This drug also stabilizes the extracellular matrix by inhibiting the action of enzymes such as collagenase or elastase. 1,2,4-Oxadiazol-3-amine has been shown to be thermally stable at temperatures up to 300°C and crystallographically stable from -80°C to 200°C.
