Informação sobre produto
- Octane-3,6-Dione
- 3,6-Octandione
3,6-Octanedione is a chemical compound that is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It is produced by the reaction of n-hexane and primary amines with ethylene to form 3,6-octanediamine. The 3,6-octanediamine can be converted to 3,6-octanedione by hydrogenation. This chemical has been shown to have neurofilament crosslinking and neurodegenerative properties in model studies. FTIR spectroscopy revealed that the chromophore of this molecule is pyrrole. 3,6-Octanedione also reacts with hydrogensulfate to produce imine and ethanolamine with sodium sulfide to produce amines which are then reduced to reductive elimination products.
