Informação sobre produto
9-Oxo-10,11-dehydroageraphorone (9OHA) is a natural product that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It induces cell death by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, which can lead to autophagy and apoptosis. 9OHA causes the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria, which results in the activation of caspase-3, a downstream effector of the intrinsic cell death pathway. 9OHA also inhibits glutamate dehydrogenase and glutamate pyruvate transaminase, enzymes required for the synthesis of glutamine from glutamate. This inhibition disrupts cellular metabolism and causes mitochondrial membrane depolarization. 9OHA has been shown to be effective against liver cancer cells in mice and may be used for cancer treatment in animals.
