Iso-oxypeucedanin is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of natural products. It has potent inhibitory activity against the enzyme tyrosinase, which is involved in the production of melanin. Iso-oxypeucedanin also has antioxidant activity and can be used as an anti-inflammatory medicine. This compound has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on skin cancer cells and may be useful for the treatment of other cancers. The chemical structure of iso-oxypeucedanin is similar to imperatorin, but with a hydroxyl group at C3 instead of an ethyl group. This difference in chemical structure leads to a higher UV absorption and greater potency than imperatorin.
