4-Phenyl-1,3-thiazol-2-amine is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of antimicrobial agents. It has been shown to have a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as yeasts and molds. This molecule inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the bacterial cell membrane and preventing the uptake of nutrients. 4-Phenyl-1,3-thiazol-2-amine also has been shown to inhibit fatty acid synthesis in mammalian cells. The molecular weight of this compound is 284.4 g/mol, with an empirical formula C14H11NOS. The XRD pattern shows strong peaks at 3° (theta) for the amide bond at 1.8 Å, 2° for the N-H bond at 1.5 Å, and 2° for the N-C bond at 1.5 Å. The IR spectrum indicates a strong absorption band
