Descrição:Pyrene 1-sulfonyl chloride is a fluorinated derivative of pyrene. It has been used for the detection of glycopeptides in human immunoglobulin and tissue culture samples. Pyrene 1-sulfonyl chloride binds to hydroxyl groups on proteins, which results in the formation of a fluorescent molecule. The reaction mechanism is similar to that of ethylene diamine, with the exception that pyrene 1-sulfonyl chloride reacts with proteins via a glycosidic bond rather than an amide bond. The radiation sensitivity of this compound is greater than that of ethylene diamine.
