Pyridazin-4-ylmethyl amine dihydrochloride is a molecule with two isomers. It can be synthesized by reacting pyridine with methyl aniline in the presence of hydrochloric acid. This molecule has been used as an inhibitor molecule to study enzyme activity, using techniques such as microscopy and spectroscopy. Pyridazin-4-ylmethyl amine dihydrochloride has shown potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy properties that are similar to those of the natural substrate, pyridazine. This molecule inhibits the activity of enzymes such as catechol oxidase, diaminopimelate decarboxylase, and monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B).
