4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine is a lipid-lowering agent that is used to treat obesity. It is an anorectic drug, which means it reduces appetite. This drug has been shown to decrease the rate of triglyceride lipase in adipose tissue and thereby reduce the production of fatty acids. 4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine has antiarrhythmic activity, which means it prevents abnormal heart rhythms and can be used to treat cardiac arrhythmias. 4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine also has myorelaxant properties, which means it relaxes muscle tissue. It can be used as a thymoleptic drug for the treatment of anxiety attacks or as a sedative for patients with insomnia.br>br>4-Phenylpiperazin-1-amine inhibits insulin resistance by preventing the translocation of glucose transporters from intracellular storage
