Pyrazol-5(4H)-one is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5NH. It is a heterocyclic compound that contains a 1,2,3-triazole ring fused to a 5-membered pyrazole ring. The pyrazole ring consists of two nitrogen atoms and one carbon atom. Pyrazol-5(4H)-one is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs. It has shown to be effective against hepatitis, as well as being genotoxic and allergenic in some cases. Pyrazol-5(4H)-one also has x-ray diffraction data that can be used to identify its crystal structure and can be used for control analysis in the pharmaceutical preparations industry.
