Informação sobre produto
- 2-Pyrimidinecarboximidamide (9CI)
Pyrimidine-2-carboxamidine is a coordination compound that contains two benzyl groups and has a molecule weight of 288. It is synthesized by the trimerization of pyridine-2-carboxamide with formaldehyde, followed by oxidative carbonylation. Pyrimidine-2-carboxamidine has bactericidal activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex, which may be due to the formyl group or the presence of halides on its structure. This molecule also has biological properties, such as inhibition of hepg2 cells and induction of apoptosis, as well as antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger.
