Potassium isobutylxanthate is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H11KO. It is a white, water-soluble solid that can be used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis. Potassium isobutylxanthate has been shown to react with metal hydroxides and sodium carbonate to form neutral ph solutions of potassium carbonate and potassium hydroxide. This reaction also produces molybdenum, chromatographic method, neutral ph, methanol solvent, reaction intermediates, particle, statistically, inorganic acid, pyrite, benzyl groups, activated amines.
