Polyethylene Glycol Glycidyl Lauryl Ether (PGGLE) is a diode that is used in optical and reactive techniques. It reacts with epoxides to form antireflection coatings with hydroxyl groups on the surface of an object. PGGLE can be modified by reaction time, modifiers, and organic solvents to create different formulations for different applications. PGGLE has been used in the manufacture of semiconductors, such as transistors, for its high reactivity with acrylonitrile. PGGLE also has photopolymerizable properties that make it useful for manufacturing photoresists and other materials used in electronics manufacturing processes.
