N-Propionyl phenothiazine is a diluent that is used in the production of amide and phenothiazines. It is an anhydrous, acidic compound with amide group, which is also known as a morpholine. This chemical can be used to produce nitrogen containing compounds such as oximes and esters. N-Propionyl phenothiazine has been shown to react with acid chlorides to form condensation products.
