1,1'-((4-Methylphenyl)imino)bis-2-propanol is a polymerization initiator that can be used in the synthesis of polyvinyl chloride. It is also known as "Vinylbenzene." This polymerization initiator is a chemical compound made up of two parts: a vinyl group and an imine group. The vinyl group reacts with the monomer styrene to form polyvinyl styrene, while the imine group reacts with peroxide to form the reactive intermediate benzoyl peroxide.
