Descrição:Piperidine hydrochloride is a drug that belongs to the class of amides and is used in combination preparations. It has been shown to have a variety of effects on animals, including an increase in locomotor activity, a decrease in body temperature, and a decrease in spontaneous movement. In rats, piperidine hydrochloride has been shown to block the dopamine receptor and reduce acid secretion by inhibiting gastric acid H/K-ATPase. Piperidine hydrochloride also has demonstrated neuroprotective effects against Parkinson's disease and other eye disorders. It also has immunomodulatory properties due to its ability to bind toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) on macrophages.
