Descrição

Pyronin Y is a fluorescent dye that binds to DNA in the presence of a polymerase chain reaction. It is used as a model system for studying the effects of drugs on cells and their response to chemotherapy. Pyronin Y has been shown to be an efflux pump inhibitor and has demonstrated multidrug resistance in cancer cells. It can be used to study drug resistance mechanisms, such as the efflux pumps, by using optical sensors or chemiluminescent reaction. Pyronin Y is also used in biological samples such as blood and tissue cultures for research purposes.
