Descrição

Phenylacetyl-L-glutamine is a metabolite of phenylbutyrate and phenylacetate. It is used as a dietary supplement for the treatment of urea cycle disorders. Phenylacetyl-L-glutamine has been shown to be effective in vitro for the production of urea, but its effects on other metabolic processes such as energy metabolism and blood sampling have not been studied. There are no published reports on toxicity studies or analytical methods for this compound.
