Informação sobre produto
5-Phenylisoxazole-3-carboxaldehyde (5PIA) is a fluorescent dye that interacts with human serum albumin. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro and has antitubercular activity. 5PIA binds to calcium by forming an intermolecular hydrogen bond, which may contribute to its anti-tuberculous activity. 5PIA also binds to potassium ions, which may be due to its fluorescence properties.
