Potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate is a chemical compound that belongs to the family of organofluorine compounds. Potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate has been used as an enhancement agent in analytical chemistry. The reaction mechanism of potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate is not yet known with certainty, but it is likely that the protonated amide form of potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate reacts with light emission from an organic dye, producing a fluorescent product.
