Polyethylene glycol monooleyl ether n=7 (PEG-7) is a polymer that has been shown to be nontoxic in a variety of animal models. It has been used as a model system for studying the effects of polymers on skin, including their toxicity and ability to promote axonal growth. PEG-7 has also been used as a transfection agent for various cells and biological samples, including those from animals. The rate constant for PEG-7 is 3.3 x 10^(-2) cm/s.
