Descrição:
2-Phenoxyethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate is a polymerized, surfactant with a fatty acid group. It is used in skincare products as an anticancer agent and antimicrobial agent, and has been shown to have viscosity increasing effects. 2-Phenoxyethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate also has the ability to inhibit the growth of t. rubrum and p. aeruginosa in vitro. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may be due to its phenolic acid content, which inhibits cell wall synthesis.
