Descrição:H-Phe(4-NH2)-OH is a chemical compound that is used as an inhibitor drug. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli K-12 cells in vitro by binding to the surface glycoprotein and inhibiting transfer reactions. H-Phe(4-NH2)-OH can be used as a chemical probe for studying biological properties of proteins, such as antimicrobial peptides, through its effect on redox potential. The hydroxyl group of H-Phe(4-NH2)-OH makes it hydrophobic and amide bonds help stabilize the molecule against hydrolysis by hydrogen or nucleophilic attack. This property may also make it useful in treating infectious diseases.
