Descrição:Pinostilbene is a natural compound that is found in blueberries and has been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties. It inhibits the production of Cox-2 and reduces inflammation by inhibiting the enzyme activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). Pinostilbene also prevents neuronal death by maintaining the mitochondrial membrane potential. Pinostilbene has been shown to reduce alcohol intake in mice. In addition, pinostilbene has been shown to be effective in the treatment of eye disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa.
