• Descrição: Quinazolin-6-amine is a nonclassical epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor ligand that has potent inhibitory activity against cancer cells. It is also an inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor and thymidylate synthase, which are necessary for cell proliferation and the synthesis of DNA. Quinazolin-6-amine binds to the EGF receptor and prevents it from binding to its ligands, such as EGF, transforming growth factor alpha (TGFα), or amphiregulin. Quinazolin-6-amine may also be used as a treatment for skin disorders.
