- Quinoline-d7(8CI,9CI)
Quinoline-d7 is a synthetic compound that can be used as an internal standard in analytical methods. It is not reactive to metal ions, halides, or acids and has a linear range that spans from 0.1 to 100 μg/mL. Quinoline-d7 is deuterated with deuterium at the C-2 position and has the same mass as anthracene. The molecule can be synthesized by reacting chloroacetonitrile with 2-aminopyridine in the presence of an acid catalyst such as hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. Quinoline-d7 also has carcinogenic properties due to its ability to bind to DNA and induce mutations in cells.
